STAMPERIA CARINI was founded in 1977 in San Giovanni Valdarno, the birthplace of Masaccio, located in the Arno Valley between Arezzo and Florence.
The studio produces etchings, lithographs, and screen prints for its own editions as well as for artists, galleries, museums, and institutions.

From its earliest days, Stamperia Carini has been distinguished by its focus on relief printing in the various forms of fine art printmaking. In the 1990s, this research culminated in the development of ENCALCO — a proprietary technique that allows for continuous, high-relief impressions of exceptional detail on paper.
Notable examples include works by Leonid Sokov, Gianni Dessì, and Tommaso Cascella.

The printmaking workshop is housed in a 400 m² historical space, built against the medieval city walls, and equipped with a wide range of professional tools and presses — including two etching presses (70 × 100 cm and 100 × 200 cm), a star-wheel lithographic press (50 × 70 cm) with an extensive collection of lithographic stones, and a semi-automatic screen printing press (100 × 130 cm).

The studio is fully equipped to host and support artists through every stage of the creative and printing process.
